New at Drom: The Banned Book Club
We’re starting a book club. A controversial one.
Introducing The Banned Book Club at Drom — a new monthly gathering dedicated to reading, discussing, and occasionally arguing over books that have been challenged, censored, or pushed to the margins.
Because the books people try to suppress are often the ones that tell us the most — about power, fear, history, and ourselves.
This won’t be your standard, sit-in-a-circle-and-nod kind of book club. Expect loose structure, strong opinions, partial readings, and the kind of conversations that drift between literature, politics, and lived experience. Come having read the book (or not). Stay for the discussion.
Hosted at Drom Taberna on the last Saturday of every month
First session: Saturday April 25, 2026
First book: The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
We’ll be sharing reading schedules, prompts, and future picks via Dromline.
Read with us. Disagree with us. Show up anyway.
